one of the popular mild cams that puts down tons of power is a 224/224 cam. thats one of the best overall cams you can get.

LOl, LOL, maybe, but not nearly as weird and illogical as basing your cam selection on the results of a popularity poll on a website.

FM13 seems pretty good with 114lsa

will comp 918 springs work good with that cam or should he just go dual. I told him to go with the comp 921's like I have on my LS6's but hes saving money for a new shortblock so he wants a inexpensive spring

I'd call the boys at TSP and Futral and ask them.

Most all off-the-shelf LS1 cams can be driven on the street, with varying levels of driveability. The only cams that are too big for the street are some custom grinds that are special ordered, say 260 degees and bigger or with solid lifters. Lots of people DD the T-Rex or Magic stick and do just fine. Mine is a little smaller than the Magic Stick, but it is fine once you get used to it.

The TR224 is a nice daily driver cam, but the cam that will make the most power is the biggest one you can live with.

My MS3 isn't a problem day to day. Only issue is that my converter and gears aren't aggressive enough to take full advantage.
