Just felt it was a good move...but the more I read about them the more skeptical i am...I'm not really drag racing or anything.I just figured tightening up the motor and tranny could do nothing but good, but I guess there is alot of vibration and that kinda sucks. What do you think?

if you suffer from a banging y-pipe poly motor mounts can help you solve that issue. they reduce motor flex on the k-member under load...which in turns doens't swing the y-pipe toward the undercarriage.

No seriously....they had them at autozone by me...a good brand as well, I dont remember which 1 though, it was long ago. It was red with a yellow package and its held up for over 2 years now. It may have been Energy or something like that....

Why not just go with solid motor mounts and save some weight? You're going to feel the vibes either way.

Solids are not the way to go. The block will distort on hard launches. Don't get the poly mounts unless you are trying to correct something. Stockers are fine.

^^ this is uncalled for, really makes people want to reply to your thread! ^^

the prothane motor mounts i have came from thunder and they work awesome. the shifter doesnt move around anymore and the engine is dead still. i'm pretty sure they cause LESS vibration as well, not sure how this works, but it definatly feels better. i'm also running a new OEM trans mount.

the synergy(?) suspension piece from autozone is a great piece but some people report vibration and ditch for an OEM. only problem w/ the OEM is that they cost over 70$

That's why I went with the prothane. I was hearing a lot about the ES mounts transferred too much vibration into the cabin.

Unfortunately, I found some threads saying that the prothanes were equally as harsh. Oh well, as long as this new tranny mount solves my y-pipe banging...

we'll i was referring to poly trans mounts in general, not just the autozone one

i have TSP duals on my car. the leg that connects to the drivers side header runs LESS THAN 1/4" from that floorboard crossmember that i forgot to flatten out

it NEVER HITS THE FLOOR, even running 315 nitto drags and 4.11 gears with a dead hook 1st gear rhomp

so yes i'd say the poly motor mounts work pretty well

That's nice to know. I just purchased poly mounts because of header problems! Mostly from hitting the K-member even after I trimmed it.

How about a solid mount on the driver side, and a poly mount on the passenger side?
