does anyone know the cheapest place to find a C5r block, besides gmpp cause they like to rape u for s & h, literally. All comments and info would be greatly appreciated. Thankx

You could allways go to a G.M. dealer in your town and see if they are willing to sell you that block (12480030) at a 100 dollars over cost. G.M. does not charge any additional freight when we place daily stock orders. I am sure paying a 100 dollars over cost would still be cheaper than buying the other one with freight added to it.

If you can wait the LS7 block might be a good option.

In spite of being the proud owner of a C5R-based 427, I'd wait for the LS7 block. It's likely to be under half the cost of the C5R piece.
