Hey guys i was just wondering how much would a shop charge for a head swap when you are givign them the heads, gaskets, and bolts for the job. How much have you been chrage before, also sponsors pls feel free to chime in.

anybody??? i just want to know casue this shop wanted to charge me over $1.1k, and i thougth that was just to much.

Price here locally for a head swap is $500 and that covers bolts, fluids, and gaskets.

yea thats what i though they are your heads by the way. I called that shop casue i ussually deal with them but now they got a new shop forman, and they guy gave me a bunch of crap about the car having headers, and that made the job harder so i just told him i'll call back, yea right. o by the way gomer thanks i don't care what anyone says you guys are alright, lol just kidding, but really thanks man.

From just talking to customers, in your area we have heard anywhere from $500-$800. There are some shops that are $1,000 plus range. Thanks for the good words.

My shop is charging me $1750 for a shortblock swap, so $1100 seems high...

cool thanks man thast what i though the guy was telling em it would take like 2 days atleast to do it and it was all that money, and the thing with the headers so i was just like ok thanx by.

i would but i live in a condo and cant do it in the parking lot. Man the old farts from the condo asso would have a stroke.
