LS6 2002-2004 spring color

I bought a used set of springs from a reputable CF member..

They aren't yellow, but they do have a paint stripe, but it's not yellow, more like orange.. I'm guessing that the paint used to be yellow and it changed w/ heat?

I just got brand new GM LS6 heads..
The springs are the regular blackish metal color with a rust orange stripe on the coils..

01- Blue
02 yellow/light green
03/04 metal color with stripe.

The LS2 springs supercede the old LS6 springs, that is most likely what your received.

I've recently purchased two sets of LS6/LS2 springs, and they both had a stripe that's looks either orange or pink depending on the lighting I'm under.

Thanks guys, sounds like I got the right stuff. The guy that sold them to me said they were from an 04 Z06.. I really have no reason to doubt, just curious. Thanks again!

Same problem here, or concern. I bought some springs and cam off a 04 Z06 and also have an orange stripe on them. But the car we are going to put them in is a stock 01 Z28 but the springs that are in that car also have an orange stripe??? Could they already be LS6 springs or are they stock LS1????
