LS6 vs. LQ9...Which one????
I am planing on switching out my 5.3L in my 2004 SSR with either a 2004 LS6 or a 2004 LQ9 6.0L. I am looking for the most HP with the least mods.
I am assuming that the major difference beside the displacement is the cam which gives the LS6 the edge in HP, buy how would the LS6 cam do in the LQ9 6.0L? Similar HP to a stock LS6 or?
Help me guys out on my decision. I want to still run the truck intake as I have heard that it flows better in the under 5500 RMP range. I will do some head work in addition to a little stronger cam like the LS6 cam.
What do you think?

so that should produce some decent results in the meantime while I earn back some money to do more mods. I like the idea of an iron block much better than aluminum. Just an FYI, you can spray these blocks with a lot less worries, if you're gonna go that route.
