Default Can I only use 1 O2 Sim?

Just curious as my little bro gave me one. Didnt know if I could splice off it, or I had to buy a second one. I have an ORY and I'm so tired of the SES being one.

Well, it's worth a shot. It's from a 98 Grand Prix GTP. It's a 4-wire O2, but wonder if it's the same since it's a SC v6?

In general, you can use a single sim (specifics of your motor not withstanding..).

There is a site on the net that sells them; they go into detail about how it's one set of components w/ two wiring harnesses attached.

Interesting, but is it one component with two distinct channels? Reason being, is that i think youll have incorrect resistance if you have both sensors voltage go to one sim. Much like wiring a subwoofer in "bridged" mode on a 2 channel amp, each channel will only see half the load, thus putting out more than the sum of the two channels seperately. If these o2 sims fluctuate their voltage centered on .450 V, with half the resistance, would this now mean that they would fluctuate centered on .900 V? I dont know enough about electronics in general let alone the specifics of how an o2 sim works, but it does seem like it could create a problem...

...Or you could just try it and let us all know!
