Default well, it wasnt the pushrods :(

I bent some pushrods on a missed shift last weekend and I replaced the 3 that were bent. THe car still idles like crap and makes a faint taping sound,

what is the next step? Pull the head and check out the lifters?

Yes, compression / leakdown test. If you fail that, time to pull the heads and check for eyebrows on your pistons.

Yep, samething happened to my buddy, but he bent 8 push rods and dented his pistons. We just had to replace the intake valves and lapped them onto his heads.
