uh did i mess anything up? hey, last week i was passing a car on a country road and didnt realize i was going so fast and floored my car in second to the point where it hit the fuel cutoff. Now common sense says the fuel cutoff is there at the point where you could break something if u go past it, but could I still have damaged something? Seems to be running ok.

The fuel cut off? Some other member correct me if i am wrong, but shouldn't the car have just bounced off the rev limiter?
oh, and more than likely nothing bad happened....it is sometimes hard to say though

that's what the rev limiter is there for...to protect your engine from over-revving. The problems come when people mechanically overrev like accidentally shifting from 3rd into 2nd instead of 3rd into 4th when going like 70 mph plus (this forces the rpms to shoot up and the rev limiter can't do anything about it) which leads to bent pushrods. You should be fine.
