395 Vs 383 ??

Default 395 Vs 383 ??

i am going to have a 383 or 395 stroker built with lunati parts and i was wondering about the pro's and con's of each

The only diffrence in the 2 will be the stroke. The 382 will have a 4.00 and the 395 will have a 4.125. The 395 will have agood bit of side load on the piston/bore which could lead to premature wearing. This is due to the stroke being so much larger than the bore. Personally, I'd just use a LS-2 block with the 4.00 stroke and get a 402.

And with the 395, you will have to grind out notches in the block where your rods will hit the block. how do I know that...?

The Lunati kit is beautiful. You'll be happy with either choice.

Some 382's require grinding the block also. It just depends on who's rods you use.
