Default 6.0 bore ?

how far can you bore out a 6.0liter, and what does that equal in cubic inches?

Search is your friend. The stroke will play a determining factor into CID.

.030 over is no problem, on some 6.0L blocks you can do .060 over but you need to sonic check the block to make sure .060 is safe.
if you go .030 over with the stock stroke you get a 370ci setup
on a .060 bore and stock stroke it would be a 375ci setup

Yep, stock stroke. Can't tell you how it runs yet as I just swapped it in yesterday. I still have to put the heads and accessories on. I'm sure I'll be posting a vid once I do get it up and running though

FYI, simple CI calculator
((Bore)\2)^2*(3.14)*stroke=displacement

derived from
Area of circle = pi(r)^2 where pi~3.14
volume of cylinder = Area_circle * length
bore = diameter = 2*r

Hope that helps future "ci" questions

Is it true that boring an LSx block near the 0.060" over mark, would warrant
recentering the bores?

What is the major thrust side thickness after 0.060" over bore on a stock LSx
engine?

we did a 6.0L ironblock 370ci setup with N2O heads and cam that made 463rwhp and 430rwtq N/A, so it should run very well
the iron blocks are great for FI or juice applications due to the extra strength.

I agree.
Plus if you have it 30 over and something minor happens you can always bore it a little more.

Yeah, I know. And a much cheaper alternative to get some strength and some extra cubes.

Hum, that's a good idea...hadn't thought about that, but makes sense.

Just FYI, a "safe" spray of nitrous would be a 200 shot on these things with a built bottom end

Here is a copy oy my last blocks sonic test. I offset the bores to get maximum wall thickness. Thrust sides are all pretty thick, but the pin side on the inner pistons is where it can get thin.
