I had $150 in the 241's, $150 in the intake/exhaust valves, $450 for port work, and already had a set of springs... so I have $750 in the heads right now You could stick a set of nice springs on there and use stock intake/exhaust valves, and be complete with .660 lift springs for less than $1,000... less than that with 918's

Please post some flow #'s when you have them, I'm very interested in seeing how they do.

agreed, i was doing the math and even with a PRC kit, manley or ferrea valves for both the intake and exhaust they come out 100 dollars cheaper then my FFHP's with PP duals and valves.

and from what i've seen on the flow on an independent bench, his are better then mine.

Also my turn around time is 8 weeks or so. I have done them quicker than that but they were during slower times and also I am starting another job in two weeks so that will slow things down and I am planning accordingly.

Bo, does that $650 include machine work necessary for 2.02/1.60 valves being seated, etc, providing the valves of course? I have a set of 853's off my car sitting waiting for me to read this thread, and my buddy has a set of 241's.

They look good Bo. Sounds like you are going about it the right way too. Don't take on more work than you can handle. From the looks of it, your going to be busy.

It is the same price, just send what ever valvetrain you want to run with the heads and I will send them back assembled/ready to go with those parts.

I don't think you can run a 1.60 exhaust valve in the stock seat. I was under the impression that 1.58 is as large as you can go before having to install a larger seat. Most stock seat setups I've seen use a 2.02/1.57.

The 1.57 is as big as I recommend too because of shrouding in a 3.900 bore but I have put 1.60s in a couple of sets and they go in fine on the stock seat.

Gomer, are you building another car? So it appears these are about 1/2 the price of most stage 1.5 5.3 heads. What would you think these heads will pick a car up that puts down about 395-400 rwhp currently? I already have Patriot duals on it. I'd like to stick with my 224/228 581 XER as I just ran 119.06 full weight 6 speed with a 2400 launch.

hey BO, have you done a set of 5.3's yet? Would the PRC dual spring kit fit them well?

I'm waiting on a set of "long leadtime" 5.3 heads for my car, so I wanted something good and cheap to run on there in the meantime.. since I sold the heads off the car a while back. After my expensive heads get done, I'll either put the Bo White 241's on the LS1/Mustang I'm doing or on my WS6 with a small cam and some spray.... too many cars, not enough money
