rough idle and low end torque dont mix...
what are you wanting out the car (rwhp?)
I would go ahead and do some intake mods... ls6 or fast intake and TB..... I've got the LS6 intake for sale if you want it...

but do all the bolt-ons first that way when you tune it you wont have to retune until you have heads or N20 or a larger cam.

Do a search on the F13 cam. It seems to be one of the popular cams out right now.

TR224 on a 112 will idle rough, especially at the stock idle rpm or a little lower. A free flowing exhaust will make rougher/more lope and give you more power as well.

TR224 is by no means the biggest tr cam for stock internals . . . Trex would be that one, I believe, but you would probably lose some low end with it. My cam as a very nice low end, runs rough from ilde up to 2000 rpm, and pulls like he11 to 7000 rpm. Check the dyno section for a chart.

JFC!! Use the godamn search button. This cam quesiton has been answered 1000 times. What your going to get for answers are all biased from what people chose for a cam. Do yourself a favor and educate yourself on what you want out of your car first. Do you want a drag or dyno queen or do you want a mean street machine. Then ask yourself how much you want to spend. Basic is headers, intake, cam, ported tb. The bigger the cam the more it moves the power range further up in the rpm range. The fm13 is a nice cam. They all are. Thunder Racing is proven to be number 1 at the track in a cam only car. Your not going to get more power and tq out of an fm cam then you would a tr cam of the same size. Infact the tr cam will give you a better tq curve from all the dynos I've seen. But they are not the only cams out their either. MTI,TSP, COMP, Lunati-- all great cams. Dont let the FM people, and you'll get the full blitz here, tell you thier cams are best because they are not. They are as good as all the others.
