The timing chain was one of the very few recovered pieces of my motor. I am getting ready to put it into a built 6.0. Great piece, one of the more nicely machined units at that.

Whether a dbl roller is needed on an LS1 is debatable. I've never heard of anyone breaking a chain, but I installed one anyway. Now almost everyone has heard of rocker arms falling apart. But how many people are still running stockers & turning 6500-7k? TOO MANY!!! (not me tho)
And replacing the rocker arms is no where near as hard as replacing the chain. The bolt on the oil pump pick-up tube is a PITA!!!

because of that bolt I had to rebuild my motor, the friend who was working on the oil pump while I was working with the heads put a rag in the top of the oil pan to block the bolt from falling down in the hole, and he left the rag in there, and it clogged everything up in my motor, even the lifters.
