Question What heads?

Im looking to purchase some AFR heads but was wondering which ones I should go with my current parts are in my sig and im looking to put a 383 stroke kit in it in the future. I was wondering which AFR heads would work best with this set up. I am also planning on installing a cam along with the heads please send me some information on which head and cam combo would work well with this set up and will remain a good daily driver( No stalling, bad lope, Easy to start up and go, and not to obnoxious with the gas mileage).

I would go with the 205s, they move a hell of a lot of air for the size port they have. I have seen a 383 with a 24x cam put down 500 at the wheels

When I typed 24x cam meant a cam with over 240 duration @ .050. A great street cam for a set up like that is the 238/240 XER Comp grind on a 112(its off the shelf that way )!

Are you going to use the N20 on the 383?

Yea im planning on spraying at least a 200 shot proggressively controlled. Once the bottom end is in the car and a built tranny/rear end.

Then you want to be around 114.

I f you going to go with a 383 I would use the AFR 225 head. Mill it .030" that would give you a 67cc chamber and not effect flow hardly any if at all. That way the head will be have good compression now and have the flow to support your 383.

So go with 225? and mill to 67cc? I called AFR and they reccomended to go with 205 and mill to 59cc to give me a 11:1 CR but if i put the 383 in it the CR would go to 11.5:1 so he said if i wanted to mill to 64cc chambers which would be good for now at 10.5 Cr and then when i put the 383 it would really come alive!! This is with there own custom grind at 224/228. What do you guys think of this? They said expect around 450-480 rwhp N/A with that combo then 500+ with the 383.
