Default Hey guys, New to this forum. Got a Question.

Hello guys!
Happy to have found a forum specifically directed towards my LS1. I have a 1999 Fixed Roof Corvette with 46k miles. I had been noticing that my lifters would tick for about 10 seconds after I started my motor, only when the motor is hot. Funny, in the morning I get no lifter tick at all. So, I removed my GM oil filter that only had about 1500 miles on it and replaced it with the K+N oil filter that has the better anti-drain back valve built in there. I am still noticing lifter tick when hot starting my motor. For some reason when the oil is all thinned out it just drains right out of my lifters.... This motor has always had fresh synthetic every 3000-4000 miles So I doubt there is much build up in there... What could be the remaining cause for this? It's not a big deal really, just something that I thought I could fix easily.... I guess not. How typically do we see bad lifters in an LSX motor?

Thanks for any advise you guys may have!!

Steve
