Default Calling Out the LSx Tech Gods

This thread can be a reference for those who are confused about engine
tech., or want to learn about engine tech. We can also put to rest any
myths that are flying around the site, as well as clear my name from
certain individuals who talk, but can't back it up.

Let's see who has the composure to conduct a reasonable conversation
about engine tech.

Many of you have said I've posted incorrect information about LSx engines,
but I have yet to see anyone prove me wrong (even after I've sourced
information from tech books, and MFG links).

Do up a search on my screen name and cut and paste the "incorrect info".
After doing so, post a link to a MFG site (not Jimmy's LS1 home page), or
a photo from a book (written by a credible author, or scientist) to prove
any errors on my part.

Looking forward to a friendly tech conversation and possibly learn more about
these engines as I'm in the market for one soon.

from what i read in some of his other posts he was challenging what others were saying so hes now being argumentative about the whole deal trying to take on the world...whether he's been right or not this isnt the way to go about things and I would assume a mod would close this thread pretty soon for this guys sake as well as the boards.

you guys won't find anything incorrect in his posts lol..

guess some people just can't admit when they're wrong, which seem to be an unfortunate number on this site.

Over the time that I've been reading both here and on fbody.com, adrenaline has shown me that he's extremely knowledgable in the automotive field.

i don't doubt it...but he also seems to try and start a few things too...it could be related to previous posts that i have not read and it doesn't have anything to with him being the "bad" guy....however i don't see anything wrong with this thread...he just wants to clear stuff up so he has a better knowledge of how these engines work compared to what he already knows...seems to me like he just wants to settle things now and get clear cut answers to what has been argued among his posts...that way he can do what this site is meant for and help others out with CORRECT information...btw i'm not a tech "guru" so i can't really argue much...i just have a car, work on it, and have fun...

like i said i dont know if hes right or not but posts i did browse through led me to believe hes intelligent...which leads me to wonder about this post...there are better ways to handle things then to call out people in general...not everyone on this site is a genius and alot of people use hearsay as their main source of info instead of reading/learning/doing and make the rest of us dumber...but everyone knows the saying arguing on the net is like winning a medal at the special olympics...

Predator_Z, you are one person I was hoping to reply.

Please browse through those posts and cut and paste SPECIFIC quotes
that you feel are incorrect.

This is already starting to get off topic which is not what I had intented.

To the others:

I have been attacked from day one from a certain few because I don't own
an LS1, yet I continue to post valid information learned from an extensive
16 year hands-on automotive background.

That really ticks me off. I have never instigated a fight; I have always been
on the defensive.

Now is everyone's chance to show me what I've incorrectly posted; or "they"
have incorrectly called me on.

Hopefully this thread wont get locked becuase it has the potential and intent
to be very informative and technical

Man,
Read your own posts, no one is attacking you. No one is perfect or has all knowledge. LSx motors have specific parameters that do not apply with SBC/BBC parameters and sometimes theories and facts pertaining to one, does no apply to the other, that is all.
You got ticked off from the begining, because I mentionned that you need to understand the LSx parameters, to be able to make a judgement on them.
Believe me when I say that as I was an old school person too. To my astonishment quite a few applications on SBC/BBC simply do not apply here on these motors, just the same as our tech does not apply consistently to Ford or Honda or other motors.

Just relax, no one here is after you, but when we make mistakes or miscalculations or simply do not translate correct facts, we have to accept it and learn.
I'm just a nerwbie compared to some gurus in this forum, if I make a false statement (and sometimes I do), I try to understand it and add the new found knowledge to my archive.
BTW, do not believe everything you read in books, magazines etc... Here is LIVE tech from people that use it and experience it.
I'm sure you have good experiences of your own and with time and patience you'll become a valuable advisor in this superb forum that is LS1tech.com.

Peanut Gallery Comment: That was a very well formed response.

yea, like foff said.....done.

this has no technical value, so we're not going to continue it. Adrenaline_Z, if you feel you have a beef with someone, take it up in PM or the lounge.
