I'm doing a cam install right now and it seems as though all the gaskets that I've replaced seem to be in perfectly fine shape. On the other hand, I only have 20k miles on my car. Anytime you get into your engine, it's definitely recommended that you change out the gaskets of the parts your working on.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm almost positive that you don't need to change out your valve seals. I changed mine out because the kit I got came with them and seats. I believe the 2001+ cars have the seals and seats as one part unlike the 98-00 which have them as separate parts. I think you should be perfectly fine though if you don’t change out your valve seals.

yeah mine are one piece the car only has 16,000 miles on it so I might try it without replacing anything that I don't have too. Plus Im not paying a shop to do it so if something did start to leak I always could go back and change something if needed.
