Default wtf? oil pressure question

today i noticed that when i started the car up (cold start) - my oil pressure is around 60 psi at idle, and pretty damn close to the end of the gauge when im 1/2 throttle...

afraid to go WOT here!

after a few minutes when the car is at its regular operating temperature, the psi *seem* to have decreased a little.. around 50-ish at idle / cruise, 70-ish psi when 1/2 throttle.. still didn't do a WOT run.

is my oil pump, or something, going?

tell me your opinions here..

Doesnt seem out of the ordinary. If your sending unit is on its way out it will show some crazy readings at time, lol. You know you can stop by and have us check it out.

Nope.. I could have sworn that yesterday it was 40psi at idle / cruise, about 60 psi at 1/2 throttle and 75ish at WOT

well if it is the sending unit you can just replace it, it's not too hard...you have to remove the intake manifold and get a special socket from autozone for like $5...takes about 30 minutes maybe
