Besides some clearance issue on certain pistons which we do not use anymore we have not really had any issues with the Eagle LS1 cranks. This includes the crank grinding as well. They are usually right on in every dimension. They made a few with the pilot bearing hole on the larger side of GM tolerances but they will send you the GM pilot bearing made for that situation if you need it. This has also happened on other brands as well and not just Eagle anyway with all the cranks I have been around at my business and the school.

You really can't beat them for the money and you can spend the extra money elsewhere where it will do you much more good! As Jason said we have several setups that will work with each other too and I keep some in stock and I always keep the cranks in stock now.

Question though what exactly do you have to do to the block to make it work? I know old school you had to bore it .30" over and to some clearancing of the oil pan rails and I think the bottom of a few cylinders.
