You never tried to give friendly advice all you did was make after the fact useless comments about buying heads and then criticized my decision. You call that good advice? I call it a jackass being just that. You can enamor yourself all you want but your asinine statements are already there. Then you brag about buying used heads. I’m sure you’re a legend as well, in your own mind.

Most likely your TR224 cam is ground +4. If you retard the cam 4 degrees, you'll raise your power peak about 200 rpm, extend your rpm range around 300 and you'll add another 10 rwhp in the process. I'd try this before changing cams.

I think your right about the +4 but to do it I'd need to change some parts, and then dont I loose a little torque?
I talked to the heads people and they said to stick w/224 as well. So I'll stay with it. It really is a great cam, my peak numbers might not be as high as others but its every bit as stout under 6k. The heads will enhance it by a good amount so I imagine I'll be pretty happy with the results. The custom ground cam is a good long term plan as well.

You shouldn't lose torque. As a matter of fact, you should pick up some torque across the board, although your torque peak will be 200 rpm higher rpm than before. Retarding your cam 4 degrees should put your intake closing point around 44 degrees ABDC which is ideal for a 346. In fact, that's where most larger cams have their intake closing points.

Hmmm, how much is an adjustable timing set? I have a new chain, all I need is an adjustable cam gear right? If I cant just swap out the top gear forget it. I'm not taking that oil pump out again. lol

You could always buy the offset bushing set for your existing top timing gear. Just drill out your dowel pin hole and insert the bushing with the offset you need. Kit costs less than $20...maybe even less than $10. I did this on my first LS1 (way before adjustable timing sets ever came out).

Try as you might, but you're acting as a child. Pull your head out of your ***. I was friendly until you tried to be an LS1 God, and tell me that the heads cost too much, and I'll bet your car makes oh let me guess 410-415 with your god sent heads, that are superior to mine. Get your junk together and let us know the outcome. Until then try to catch up....... Oh and if you'd like to follow up call the shop I'll be here, the number is in the sig.

Your an absolute retard. Look at all thats been written. I never said my heads were superior nor did I insults the ls6 heads. INVISIBLEZ comes with negative criticism and I tell him to go pound sand. The same goes for you. Are you INVISIBLEZ ? Why the two ID's? Are you telling me you whiped out the vendor id to impress me ? I really need to know now. Oh no never mind really, I dont want to continue this with you no matter what ID responds next time. I did all the research and got the best deal for my money and my use intended but for some reason certain vendors in Texas cant handle it. " Well you could have done this or you should have done that" is typical vendor banter when they loose a sale and then they trash what ever you bought even worse. One vendor didnt do that and I went with them. Mike or Invizblez or what ever your id will be next you sounded and continue to sound like one of the pack. I'll repear it for your benefit Mike. The ls6 heads are very nice, just more money than I wanted to spend. I got everything for the swap and lifters for less than the cost of the ls6 heads alone. Plus my heads have springs rated to .660 lift and titanium retainers. The ls6 dont come with that do they? They're lift is rated to .570 isnt it? I'm very happy with my deal, when you add it all in its hundreds less than the ls6 heads. "You should do a little more research before making a decision, do it right the first time if you can help it." that was your helpful friendly advice.
Just drop it. Best advice I have for you.
