cam?

i found a guy with an ls6 cam thats hes going to sell cheep the part # at the end of the cam is 17212144 is this right

The 02+ LS6 cam is #12565308.
The 01 LS6 cam is #12560950.
GM just puts the last 4 digits of the part # on their cams. 12561721 is a 01-02 LS1 cam and that is probably what you have.
