Default Flow Numbers for my heads, what do you think?

The heads on my car flow as follows, good bad or fair? They are 10.8:1 Compression ratio heads.

Lift Intake Exhaust
200 147 107
300 211 149
400 257 175
450 271 201
500 278 212
525 281 214
550 280 215

Tested with:

28 inches of H2O

3.9 inch bore

How do these numbers compare to stock heads? Not sure these are making the power I was thinking they would.

Thanks!

Bill

They look pretty typical for a ported LS1 casting taken off a SuperFlow 600 bench or something that reads pretty similar. If they are ported LS6 castings then I would consider the numbers a little soft. Assuming a small cross section (not huge port volume) the heads should provide significant gains over stock LS1 castings and mediocre gains over stock LS6 castings.

Good luck and let us know how you make out...

Tony M.

PS....By the way, assuming no air leaks during the test, the low and midlift flow on the intake is very good....get those heads on top of a shortblock.

I agree with Tony. Average .300/.400 #s on the intake are 198-202/245-250

Like Bo said. Midlift is strong as compared to the peak numbers. Should make some power.

Seems somewhat 'mysterious' to me. Why such high compression...don't ls1s run better with moderate compression.

i just read your other post about the track times.i feel the same way about my heads.but your low- midlifts look strong, you should be making some decent power.is your car tuned?if you can,do some logging next time you take it to the track to see if you have any KR and what your total advance is.

Mid-lift numbers look VERY strong. Let's see what kind of power you make. Oh, and compression is your friend.

This is through full exhaust including high flow cats.

Just feel someone has just tossed the numbers. Not sure they are real accurate?

Thanks,

Bill

I am going to Dyno the car this week. I'll let you know what they see. I am hoping they can take a snap shot of my programing. This way I can tell what is wrong (If Anything) with my program.

Thanks,

Bill
