Will a cam add/decrease rasp?
I have a HORRIBLE rasp between 2k and 3k rpm. Only at partial throttle, so normal driving around its always there. Sounds alot like a trumpet or horn. Other than that I love this set up.
My question is I'm about to install a cam along the lines of 224/224 .581 .581 112lsa. Will the rasp still be same? Will it be moved in the rpm? Will it go away?
I dont want to go cutting up the I pipe if i dont have to.
I have the same setup as you except Pace y instead of TSP and I don't notice any rasp like you describe. The cam will make it sound badass though I can tell you that much. I remember it was a bit quieter and not near as deep before I put the cam in.
sounds like a helichopper taking off. If i keep my car im gonna have a side exit true dual fabbed up at mufflex maybe.
