Default Used Head ??????
So I bought my heads from a friend of mine(absolute stage II's). They came right off his car, and it was running (very well). My question is, what should I do to the heads before I put them on my car? They are dirty. Can I use break parts cleaner to clean them up before I install them? Or should I use something else? Should I take them to someone to have them cleaned? Any input on this is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Gunk and a water hose works fine. Make sure you blow them out with compressed air to remove all the water.

clean them up and i would put some new springs on them, I have not seen 1 car that did not make good power with AS heads.

are these Ed's old heads? i'd send them out to be hot tanked and freshened up myself, and a new set of springs if you bought them complete.

Springs are good, heads dont have that many miles on them, and yes they are Ed's old heads.
