Will a Comp XER281HR (232/234 0.595/0.598 112) Comp blue stripe 918 springs, titanium retainers and YT 1.7 ratio roller rockers successfully work together. If not what do I need to change?

Thanking everyone in advance.

Yes it will work a treat.Have used simialar camshafts with great results and we are fitting a camshaft with nearly the same specs ( changed opening close events ) to a blue clubsport.
Got ya thinkin now.

I know that the 918's will be fine but what about the roller rockers on an XER lobe. I really want an XER lobe as it will mean that I can run less duration, better low speed drivability, maintain better idle quality and have a super strong mid range (and wont **** the neighbours off as bad when I start it up in the early hours ), if i use an XR lobe will have to run approx 4 degrees more duration to make the same peak power.

Cheers

I wouldn't run the 918's on a XE-R lobe of that size. The PRC spring kit would be more in the range you would want. Also, like Predator said, stick with the stock rockers. Almost all the roller rockers out now are to heavy over the nose and cause more problems than help.

THe 918's will handle way more than that cam can throw at them. Look on the Comp site, they offer them as an "Upgrade option".
A lot of people here seem to forget about the weight of the moving valve assembly is very important. 918's are better than most duals for harmonic control, they are lighter and WILL handle anything to .625 lifts XE-R or not. They were designed to do so.
The lighter you valvetrain assembly with proper geometry, will control valve float better and give you more power.

This phobia about 918's has to END. I've read and seen about more duals breaking than 918's (many more).

The trick is, do it right. Meaning the right p-rod length (use p-rod meter to measure, the right seat height, the right lifter preload. Basicaly blueprint your assembly to perfect tolerances, and those 918's will shine more than you ever expected.
