radiator ? after cam install did the cam swap, start the car everything is fine took it for a drive came back temp stayed at 210 but it started to hiss so the crossover tube was loosened and the air was allowed to escape. topped off the radiator and went for another drive same problem when I got back but the air didn't hiss as long. Is this just air in the system that I didn't get out on the first bleeding or is there something else that is wrong.
Can take a while to bleed all the air out of the system,we have done over 25 cam installs and some cars take 3 times as long as others to bleed all the air out of. Turn the heat on and make sure to get the heater core involved.
You need to burp it... Start the car, let i run for awhile until the thermo opens or "burps". You know because the coolant level in the radiator will go down slightly and the upper hose will be very hot. Once it burps, top it off, put excess in overflow tank and put that cap on. Running the heater is not necessary.
