To install cam bearings, you have to go to a engine shop/rebuilder. We were doing a cam swap in mine, and when we took the 224/224 out to instal the new one, we saw that the cam bearings had copper on them. Its a lot of money, basicly a rebuild because the motor needs to be out, then the motor basicly comes apart. If you need to have cam bearings done, you might as well get new some forged pistons and rods. You will be paying the shop for the labor to take them out and put them back in, so you might as well change them with aftermarket. But if you want to resuse the stock pistons/rings, you can do that. Im getting my motor done by a local shop, and the total for a forged short block is about $2,500, and from that around $800 is labor. So depending on what shop you go to, I would say $800 give or take a little, plus the cam bearings, which I think go for around $40 or so.
