broken valves?/
broken valves?/ What are some symptoms of a broken valve or bent pushrods or any problems with the heads other than the gaskets. Im trying to figure out why my car is running like ****! Its eating up gas like a **** and I have no power where I used to. I have no low end tq anymore. 3rd and 4th gears are weak, when they used to be very strong. Before it was tuned, it still ran good, I got it tuned a few days after and ran great. Now, 6 months later its running like dookie. A little help would be nice.

Bent a valve in my IROC, and the symptoms described in your first post were what it was doing, plus the ticking/clicking noise. Have you over revved it, what makes you think it's in the valvetrain? Might be time to take off the valve covers and take a look

ive checked the driver side and it kinda looked like one of the pushrods was slightly bent...very slight. I still need to check the passanger side. I dont think that Ive over reved it. I wont know till i finally pull the heads, but I need to get some gaskets and studs first. 
Compression test is easier, but chances are that you're gonna have to pull the heads anyways. So do a compression test first to see which cylinder it is (b/c you may not be able to tell with the naked eye) and then pull the heads.
