Default best cam 4 stock heads...

i know, i know;these kind of threads have beaten like a dead dog.but one day i started to read in one thread about low lift and stock-headed ls1's.im looking to stay w/ my stock heads for a pretty long time;possibly a little P&P.but nothing major.stay w/ mild mods(bolt-on's), and a lil spray so im looking towards an F13 or maybe even lower lift.i pretty much want to have the biggest cam that will make usable power.across the board.while taking advantage of what these little GM aluminum casting's have to offer.TIA.

f11 or f13.. really depnds on what ur wanting to do witht he car.. but if u want a great all raoudn cam that will suit about antying get a f13 or f11.. i would suggest the f13 or even the f14.. dont be scared of the lift.. the lobes aren't that agressive and they dont stress the springs that much.. i have the F14... with patriot duals and mine is pretty quiet valvetrain wise

if you dont go with one of those two.. and u wont lower lift.. get the tr224 cam on a 112 or the tr224/227 114

i see ur spraying now. futral sold me a f14, 232/234 .600/.600 on a 114lsa.. or go with the f9 cam a 232/236.. but that one is a lil more agressive

my f14 has been daily driven untuned in my auto with only a 3000 stall, mac mids, and stock 3.23's for 250 miles and has only cut off maybe 5 times once i opened up the tb a lil bit.. i just now got my 4.10's in and my mial order tune should be coming soon. i do ofcourse plan to have a full dyno tune once the spray goes back on

another friend with a m6, has the f15 which is larger, and would be way harder to daily drive.. however he daily drove his on a mial order tune and 3.42 gears for 6 months plus without a complaint

i'd give the f6(226/226) i believe thats what it is) a try, most people really seem to like the cam that have used it. If ur looking for an all out nitrous cam that will hit hard then look into the g5x2-3. Both cams love the sauce because they have bigger splits than the traditional split, more of rounded cam as far as na/spray goes.

Edit- Dont be scared of bigger cams either, I have a fairly large cam in my car and it drives ALMOST like stock(badass tune of course tho too heh) In the same types of conditions u live in. Pulled great numbers and as I said, car is fantastic to drive.

im not afraid of using a big cam and i also know of Alan's cams and know that they are very DD friendly and make awesome power....but, i was talking w/ this guy who said that the low-lift cams make better use of stock valve sizes and that cams w/ excessive lift just bleed off power.but i dont know if this is true or not.i was looking into the f13 or 14.btw i dont spray ALL the time; hence an n2o cam is not very necessary.

The only thing I hate is that they do not give the specs and you have to beg them even after you buy a cam.

you could always go to a machine shop and have the specs checked and then exploit them hahahahaha
