oil pressure
oil pressure hey what oil pressure are you guys seeing in your LS-1's. Like at idle, and under load. Today I was driving through town and when I was at a light, the oil pressure dropped to about 20 or 22psi, and was fluctuating, or bouncing up and down, just slightly, is that normal?? then under load again, it jumped to about 40psi.

yeah thats normal. I was worried at first, and i had it checked out at a shop and they said its fine. I have read from a couple books also that oil psi can drop to 6 psi at idle without hurting anything on a stock LS1. My car goes up to about 50-55 under load, and about 30 at idle. On hot days, 25.
