Oil pressure dropped to 30 on the track
I just ran the first road race on my new forged LS6 motor this weekend. With the 236/239 .600 cam and CNC heads, it hauls
I was passing just about everything.
My oil pressure has been great since I shimmed the bypass spring. 65 cold,
60 warm at rpm.
At about 20 minutes into this race, I noticed that the oil was on 40, not in the corners, but at WOT 5000rpm. A few laps later it was down to 30, that's when I slowed down. I am running Valvoline 10-30 racing oil. The oil temp was 210F.
Does this sound like a problem of block expension and too much main bearing clearance, or will 20/50 oil fix it?
