The rule states to pull 2 degrees for every 50 HP gain, but that's a ball-park
figure at best.

Timing is dynamic as the effective compression/VE changes. Piston speed is
also a factor as well as rate of combustion.

I've known some engines to take timing out in top gear to go faster.

I'd start out with a conservative timing curve and add timing in small increments
until the car slows down.

The dial back in small amounts until optimum is found. Highest MPH indicates
the best timing.

Use the time slips to see how the curve effects 1/8th mile, 1000 ft. and 1/4 performance.

How much boost are you running? You would probably have had better luck posting this in the Forced Induction Forum. Maybe one of the mods will move it for you. I honestly don't know, 2 deg for every 50 hp is good for nitrous, but I don't know if it's the same for FI.
