Head/Cam package???

Head/Cam package??? I checked out SLP's site. They have a head/cam package that they say will put out around 500hp. Have any of you guys used this kit? Would you guys say it would work with a stock motor?
Would any else(besides gaskets, etc.) be needed?
Thanks for any help. I just trying to get ideas for my Z......
By the way, what is the approx. stock hp for an '01 Z-28?

Stock HP on an 01 is about 350 (325 advertised).
SLP parts are generally good quality and well engineered. Ther are many on this site (and others) that dismiss their parts as overpiced junk but I don't believe that's true.
$2595 for LS6 heads, dual springs, titanium retainers, a camshaft and no core charge is a pretty good deal.
I don't know about the performance of the cam - 234/228 - but it is engineered to work with those heads which is important, I'd like to see a dyno graph.
It will work fine on a stock bottom end, but keep in mind this is not 500HP on a stock motor, it will require headers, tuning, etc to get near those numbers.

You can get much better deals with a set of 5.3L (Like TSP packages) for as low as $2164 0r less complete, which will give you same results.

Besides using main studs and head studs, what else is available to strengthen a motor. I want to prepare the entire car before I add more power. I don't want to push out high hp's and mess up everything else like the tranny, rear end, etc. Basically, the motor is the last thing I want to do.....I want everything to rock solid before the motor gets beefed up.
