Question 6.0L heads

What needs to be done to LQ4/LQ9 cylinder heads in order to be put on an LS1 block. Other than milling the heads to bring the compression back up to where you would want it. Can they be just bolted on and perform good? Any and all input appreciated. Anyone here running them, gains?

Well the "LS6 Style" 6.0 heads do perform well for certain applications. IMO CNC+ Bigger valves + hand polish, should yield good results.
Problem is the chambers are huge and need to be machined "Welded chambers" to bring the size down without hurting flow.
Good head to have for stroker/& FI applications, then just CNC+bigger valve & job + hand finish will yield good results.

4.8/5.3 L ported are the most cost effective heads to run with good results.
