Default Help me get a Comp Cams grind number

Due to the way I run my car (open track type road racing events) I have been looking for a lower lift performance cam for valvespring durability reasons. I also want to get the benefits of modern medium-fast ramp rates (not XE-R fast). The roughhammer cam page shows many ‘XE’ lobe cams all with 0.537 which is perfect for me. Looking at the rated and @0.050 duration shows the ramps to be faster than those in the catalog of comparable 0.050 duration. The ones shown are all split pattern while I am looking for a single pattern 218/218 or 220/220.

Now here is my problem. I have called Comp twice and in both cases (different people) I was told these cams never existed, that the only lower lift cams are less than 0.530, these are small block Ford lobes, all LS1 cams have the same ratesetc, etc, etc. Does anyone here have a Comp cam with 0.537 lift and 218 or 220 duration? If yes, please share the grind numbers from the spec card. I would also be interested in what the rated duration is listed as on the spec card as well.

Thanks!

I did a little looking on your behalf and I could not find anything from Comp with the lower lift on a single pattern. They do have LS1 cams in the .522-.534 lift range but they are split pattern. If you are insistent about those specs.... maybe get a custom grind?

I am using a Comp XE 218/.563/114 single pattern that is working out great for me. Idles almost like stock.
