My 346 made 453/406 (see sig) and it's an 11.4:1 motor with moderate cam. It would not difficult to make 500 n/a with more compression and cam, but you would probably have to run 100+ octane.

Well what would it take to make a 500hp daily driver with the stock 346 ci's? I not looking into making the big inches, more into blowing it with the street Procharger )part number 7 psi w/ P-1SC-1) and a few other bolt ons, like MAF senser upgrade and a bigger TB and a ls6 intake manifold (they wernt included on the '00 Camaros right?) and a exaust upgrade (still deciding) Do you think that would be capable of achiving the 500 hp club? (heres the artical with the 550 hp Vetter that inspired my question, http://www.procharger.com/c5_press_release.shtml )

I would buy an A&A or ESC kit. Yes, no problem and reliable for 525-550 rwhp on a stock bottom end.

Hawkn01 is stock cubes and 11:1cr and has made 450rwhp on a mustang dyno.
He runs low 10's n/a on pump gas-easily a 500rwhp car w/ 6spd.

there's more to the 1/4 mile then power. just look at the stock internalled list. get your chasis, suspension, and tires setup and then work on your driving skills.

10.9:1 C/R on 93 pump gas
LSX 90mm Intake
NW 90mm Throttle Body
Kooks 1 3/4" to 1 7/8" Stepped LTs
3 x 2 1/2" X-Pipe through Dynomax UltraFlo Mufflers

This is through a 9", 35 spline axles, spool.

The low #s are another shop's Heads/Cam package that we removed.

This is the dyno record for a stock bottom end 346ci.
