Default change oil before dyno tune?

i wasnt sure where to put this so i put it here. i have about 300 miles on the rebuilt engine now. i already changed the oil after a couple miles. is there any need to change it before the dyno tune? i was gonna change it at 500 like i always do, but i wont make it to 500 by then.

I would definately try to put more then 500 miles on it before I put her on the dyno ... and yes, I would change the oil before as well, then again 1-2k after the dyno run .... and after that change it every 3-4k as normal.

well, it will only have about 400 by the time it gets to the dyno. ive raced my cars with 300 miles on the odo without a problem. i dont think it should be that much of a problem...no?

Usually "try" to put at least 500 miles on a fresh "street" build before a WOT pull to allow rings/valves to seat properly.

Track dedicated/high HP motors are usually built a little looser and can be thrashed on right out of the box.

Lots of folks will make pulls immediately, others will try to give the motor some break in time. Matter of preference I suppose. Will it "hurt" it? Prolly not if everything is in order. Got good oil pressure?

The old saying "Break it in like you drive it" comes to mind......

what about the oil? ive had 2 ls1s and ive beat on them after 100 miles or so, and they have all broken in "very well" and have been top performing cars. of course this isnt a stock ls1 from the factory either.
