Question CAM Question Got a 224/228 112

I have the idle set at 975 but when I drive it goes up high and then when I slow to a stop or start braking it revs up while slowing down. And if I let off the gas at about 30 or 65 mph the car drives it self, its like cruis control. Any ideas, I think I have to get it tuned better. Maybe i should tell them to have it idle higher in park or in drive and lower the idle in gear. Thanks

Has the car been tuned yet for the cam? With my TR224 I had idle hunting probs, especially when sarting with the engine hot. Idle would fluctuate from 500-1200RPM for 10-30 seconds before locking into the proper idle. The stock tune will run too rich at idle and cause the PCM to "hunt" for the proper idle. My idle is set about the same, save for the fact I have a M6. After geting the car tuned, idle hunting was gone. Fuel was decreased at low RPm and slightly enriched at WOT.

BTW, did you drilll the throttle body at all. This is the cheapa$$ fix for the same problem. LS1howto.com has a description of this under their cam install section.

I had it tuned and then i brought it back to get it re-tuned and solved the problem, increased the idle in park and neutral and it helped it out a lot. But for some reason my SES light came back on???
