If the block is bad I am truely sorry and have PMed ya about it as you know. I only gave you the shop contact info because you could get first hand info from them. I also know you bought the block from me so thats no issue there and what you paid for it should give indication on what I got out of it but I will help out as much as I can.

well the block is all apart and will be going to the machine shop to be presure tested then decked. it just really sucks cuz now i gota buy new rod and main bearings , head gasgets plus all the machine work because so hick dident no what he was doing.

and as fast as bo helping out hes pretty much worth less and Johnny @ Northport Auto Machine wont do anything to cover the cost of his mess ups. when i called him today he he said he check the block befor it left with a stright edge and feeler gauge kinda funny when HPE told me u cant use a stright endge and feeler gauge u have to use a dial indicator. there lucky its been to many months or i whould bounce this **** off my credit card and they whould be screwed

I went through this same **** for 2 years, those 1041 will push the sleeves down into the block cuz of the wire fire ring when TQed down. I ended up running flatout copper head gaskets, they worked the best but still the block was screwed up from the get go. Sleeved blocks suck.

I don't think it's Bo or the shops fault. Sleeves settle and that's that. The block should be able to be decked and be good to go. There is a guy in the FS section selling a $3600 Kateck block that did the same thing. Just be glad you spent half or less on yours. Sleeved blocks aren't crap. You just have to get the right one the first time.

So it wasn't the sleeves, it was the deck? After they deck it, you should be good to go huh?
