Default Taking the plunge......408 on the way!

I'm about to order my 408. It is probably gonna be a LME 408 with lunati pro mod rods, TEA Stage 3 LS6 heads, Kooks 1 7/8 LT's, and use my current Yella Terra rockers, 90mm Fast setup.

I'm looking at a cam in the Cam Motions custom grind 248/254 or 250/256 range all in the .630-.640 lift. Will PRC platinums hold that kinds lift with yella terra rockers or should I go another route. Really hoping to be 525-550 rwhp and 490-525 rwtq with this cam setup and the above listed supporting hardware.

Also, how much custom stuff would be required to make the Kooks 1 7/8th headers line up to a Hooker based custom y I already have. I have a 3 inch into a flowmaster collector with a 3.5 out with a 3.5 cutout. That should flow great if it will work. If not, what y pipe is out there that flows well enough to let the 408 move what it needs to.

Thanks fellas! **** this is exciting!

John

I was drooling over the LME website earlier today!! Hell im excited too, i remember my first motor build! Id suggest calling TTP about the Kooks question. They have done a lot of custom fabrication with the Kooks Headers.

The 408 for my car has a 248/252 in the .620ish lift range. I'm going to run the PRC duals on it. I don't think there should be a problem on the cam you are looking at. I'm also going to keep my hooker long tubes and hooker offroad Y for a while. I'll probably end up going to to true dual setup a little later down the road. Hurry up and get your **** together so we can see how it turns out!

Gomer,
Local guy here has a Lanes TD setup with Edelbrock 304SS muffs I can get RIGHT for you if you are interested. It was too loud for him and he wants it out of the garage. I've looking forward to seeing how it runs! How far out on yours are ya?

I just broke a set of ferrea valve springs (these are the same springs MTI talks about in in the GMHP that go on there ls2 427 motors)and had TEA put a set of comp 921's on in there place. I would talk it over with brian at LME and brent at TEA seeing as there your venders. My personel opinion is go with the comps
