I just bought some TR55IX plugs. I'll put them in when my cam goes in this weekend. I had Bosch Platinum +4's before....well they are still in the car right now, and can't say anything bad about them.

Not being a smartass but I would like to see you change plugs in my car in 25 minutes. I have wrenched my own cars for 25 years and I have a pretty comprehensive set of tools and it still took me a couple of hours to change plugs before the LT's. With the LT's, I have tried and literally cannot even touch my #8 plug from the bottom now.

I have Hooker Lt's and I could change the plugs in 30 minutes. To get to the #8 plug just take off the coil pack (s) and reach on back there. It was one of the easier plugs. #1 was hardest for me.

I leave the coil pacs on..no need to take them off..flex head ratchet and a 1 inch extention, a 3 inch extention & SP socket is all ya need to do all 8 plugs...

I guess the GM built your car different from all the others dude.. ..it must have been a prototype of some kind.. ..look in your tool box for a flex head 3\8 inch drive ratchet, a 3 inch extention, a 1 inch extention, and a spark plug socket...you will be amazed at what you can do with them..25 minutes on a car without the emmisions is a piece of cake..I'll be happy to place a wager on how long it takes me to change plugs..just let me know on how much $$$ you would like to lose.. ..I find it hard to beleive that your car could be so different and that your headers are so different than any I have ever seen... ...have a nice day..

PS..I am being a smarta$$..can't help it already had some high performance coffee and a cold beer..got the day off..if you don't have a buzz on by noon you have wasted half a day.. ..no offense ment man..I am just playin..

Okay so what is up with this idea or fact that you have to change the NGK TR-55's every year???????? Also...I have kooks headers and kooks y-pipe (catless) and I really have no problem changing my spark plugs. yes the rear ones are hard to get to but I just wiggle back there and reach for the damn thing and get the socket on the spark plug and turn...

I use the NGK TR55-IX Iridium Spark Plugs, Stock heat range, gapped at .050. I do check my plugs about every month and they are fine

Rockauto.com ($6.22) and yes, they're worth it. Iridium plugs last a LONG time (longer than platinum) and they're better conductors of electricity than the platinums.
