Which of these motors should I purchase, and why? My goal is a motor that will last a long long time. I won't be beating the hell out of the motor. Daily driver, drag strip 5 times a year. The motor will rarely see above 4000 RPMs.
If you have any experience with any of these builders, PLEASE share!!

You might want to think about SDPC again, they're having a sale during the month of July.

Futral built my new motor, but I would not hesitate to have W2W build the next one. I would not consider the others you list.

I think they all do good work.
The one from LS1speed is a 347 not a 408, but the 408 should be similar priced.

But for $1500 less, I get one from LME. And they do a lot of work to the block, not just build it and ship it.Originally Posted by 1CAMWNDR
I hear a lot of great things about W2W. That is my vote.
I am currently waiting for each company to e-mail me about their machineing/balance/bluepring process. We'll see what they all say. So far, they all seem to be pretty much the same.

Wheel 2 Wheel will do a hell of a lot more than just assemble it and ship it little brother. They have an engine assembly room that is as clean as a surgical suite. They are top notch.
I do not know if there is much difference between the other shops, W2W just seems like a solid choice to me and everyone I have heard speak of them had been very impressed.
