I am going to Iraq next month and I'm planning a couple of mods for the car when I get back. A dyno tune will come shortly after.

Futral Motorsports
#1 F13 on 114 LSA
#2 PRC Dual Spring Kit (FMS Chromemoly Pushrods)
#3 GM Gasket Set

Byun Speed
#1 TCI Streetfighter (3000-3400 stall)
#2 B & M Trans Cooler (24,000 GVW)
#3 Trans-Go Shift Kit

Does this sound like a good set-up to go with the mods in the sig? Remember this thing is driven about 200-250 miles weekly. Any other suggestions?

Can't speek for the trans but the cam setup sounds good. Might want to get a ported oil pump and double roller timing set or ls2 chain. Your already 3/4 of the way there to change those two parts. Good luck in iraq

Should I also replace the lifters while everything is out? The car has around 53K on it. Would this be the easy way to knock out the oil pump and chain in one punch?

IF you are installing a cam, I would do a ported oil pump and upgrade the timing chain.Installing anyone one of the three requires removing the front cover and harmonic ballancer. The cover and balancer are a PITA, so it makes sense to do all three at once.

Other than that, the cam and tune should do well with the mods you currently have.

Good luck in Iraq and thank you for your service

If your just doing the cam I would leave the lifters alone. Do them when you put heads on.
