With the .040 gasket you will have 11:1+ compression.
You dont need to mill at all with that compression.
TEA has PALLETS of 5.3 BRAND NEW castings and therefore if they "shouldn't" have to mill for compression and if they do it wont be much.

im not partial to any company, but tsp was gonna take care of you and then some...even let you have a set of afr's if they made more power...
not only did you cause a bunch of bs and handled it like a little kid, but when tsp offered to do a direct comparison between their heads and the afr's that would have not only been beneficial to you, it would have been a true head to head comparison for people of this community to benefit from...
if your car can't be "ragged on" by making ~6 dyno pulls and having a heads swapped a couple times then you shouldn't be modding your car anyways....
reading your posts and your attitude make me not even want to modify my car

I think you "could" get a good set of heads from any of those 3 companies.. Just depends on what kind of money you want to spend.. Give everyone a call and then make your decision!

it seems they screwed up and in turn offered to make everything right and then added a cherry on top and you continue to bitch & moan about it in other threads...
your "informative" thread did little except remind people that mistakes are made...if anything you proved for those guys that they stand behind their product and will make things right...
tsp 1.....you 0
i have never spoken to those guys or purchashed anything from them, but after your situation i am a lot more likely to in the future...
good luck with your automobile modifications
TO THE POSTER: from what i've seen if you are on a budget i would vote for the TEA 1.5's

I happen to agree with you bro.
As a family on here I would have done the head swap just for the fact it would be good info for the LS1 world.
TSP has shown some good CS the past few weeks and if their heads that cost 700 dollars less even made close to the same HP as the 205 they they are a good deal. Too bad we wont find out.

after swapping heads and looking at the mls stock gaskets i would stick with those unless i really needed a different thickness gasket for a specific purpose...they are pretty damn high quality for cheap imho
You can save some cash with damn near any gasket besides the cometic gaskets.
They are expensive.
IMO the .040 or .045 is a better setup.
you quench is better and you will add a bit of compression.
It just depends if you want to spend a extra 130 bucks for cometic gaskets vs MLS gaskets.
