A little hard to start up today
A little hard to start up today Ive never had this problem before other than last week.
after not starting the car for 2 weeks, when I went to start it, it cranked a hair more than normal. Then it started up. I drove twice since then w/o a problem. Today, I went to fire it up and it cranked for what seemed like two full seconds before firing up. Much much more than normal. The tank is full of fuel.
Its been hot and humid in VA and I was wondering if that could be a problem, or is something else starting to fail.
after about a 45 minute drive w/o any issues ( sideways once. off the rev limiter twice ) I got home, shut it off and started it up about 10 seconds later, and it started right up.
Any ideas?

I had a similar problem with a TPI on a chevy 350. It basically was hard to start after a long shutdown (>10 min). It turned out to be one or more of the injectors was bleeding down into the cylinder. To check it, hook up a Fuel Pressure gage, pump it up and let it set for a while see if the pressure drops enough to cause a problem. You can also pull the fuel rail and set the injectors on paper towels to check for the leaky one after you pump up the system.

fuel filter never changed. car has 18000 miles
the injectors are 5 months old 28.8 injectors. If it was bleeding down, wouldnt it just run rough for a little while after start up?
