Im fixing to start ordering parts for a buddies car ive been working on. I am among other things putting on a set of patroit 5.7 stage II heads (unmilled) and a set of comp cams 850-16 lifters (the stock replacements).
I installed the TSP 233/239 in his car along with 7.4 hardened pushrods about 4,000 miles ago. will the 7.4's still work or will i need a shorter rod, I thought I heard the comp lifters are a hair taller thus requiring a shorter 7.35 rod. what do i need for this application.
Thanks

The 850-16's are stock replacements. If they are a hair taller i wouldn't think it would be enough to need shorter pushrods. I say save the money and run the 7.40's that you already have. What head gaskets are you guys going to run?

I've had to install 7.350" pushrods on the comp 850 lifters (slightly taller) with both stock/aftermarket heads. We just recently been having custom length pushrods made in the 7.375" length for those "in-between" cars, I have used these in a few cars with good results also.
