Ok I hope this is the right place to post this but of the 30,000 or so F-bodies that got an LS6 block what did it all include besides not having the cam and heads . What are the differences from the LS1 and the LS6 ?

 

LS6 block also ment LS6 pistons.
Better oil passage.

 

im not sure if your 30,000 number is correct, seems kinda high for just 2001 and 2002.

ok i got these numbers out of the camaro white book...
2001 only 29,009 total Camaros were made (6cyl and 8cyl)
2002 only 41,776 total Camaros were made (6cyl and 8cyl)
jrp i think gave a percentage in that link. so really it was less than 30 thou even when you figure in the Firebird/ TA's

 

Well my 98z will be having a 04 LS6 Z06 motor in it soon. Picked it up for 3k not bad at all with like 3k-4k Long Block driving 4hrs was worth it for sure.
