decking block

if u had ur block deck .011 and ur heads decked .003 whould this make ur car pop and backfire do to ur push rods are to long

Then the push rods would be .014 to long and i dont the motor could make compretion and it would never fire.

well the motor runs just back fires alot

i no that but a few people said they whould be ok do to the hydro lifter

HMM My machineshop made sure that my pushrods where within .002 of perfect. They are .002 to long so the lifter is compressed just slightly. Dont know what shop u went to but i would order a new set of pushrods. What could u lose but 25-40 bucks if you had to resell them if they where not the right size.

The total of .014" is fine with the same pushrods as before. Comp Cams make their push rods in increments of .025"(but do offer custom) because that is close enough for general applications. There are a lot of people runnin around with heads that were milled .020" with the same pushrods with no problems.
