cam swap parts
cam swap parts I just got off the phone with my local pontiac dealer. I had compiled a list of what I thought was necassary for a cam swap. The guy on the phone told me that the part numbers had changed. can anyone verify that the numbers below are correct. If not what is the correct number?
12561244 Front engine seal
12559271 water pump gasket
12586824 ls2 timing chain
12568478 front coolant pipe
12562788 rear coolant plug
I am also doing a ls6 intake along with this so hopefully these are the correct numbers for that. All these parts are for my 98 firebird formula, if that makes any difference.

You need a new pulley bolt as well. You could cross check the part #'s with www.gmpartsdirect.com You might as well by a gasket kit from one of the sponsors. I think speedinc. and/or Thunder racings sells them. They include everything you need for a cam swap.
